Sprains

A sprain is a stretching or tearing of the ligaments that support one or more injuries.

Sprains

A sprain is a stretch or tear of a ligament. Ligaments are tough bands of tissue that connect bones to each other. Sprains can happen when you twist your ankle, for example, and the ligament is stretched too far. The most common type of sprain is an ankle sprain. This happens when you roll your foot inward or outward and the ligament on the outside of your ankle stretches too far.
